No. Every charter includes a USCG-certified captain who operates the boat, so you don't need a license or any boating experience. You just show up.
Charters run from $700 for two hours up to $2,650 for a full eight-hour day, depending on the boat. The four-hour charter is our most popular at $1,300 to $1,400. Your captain is $75 per hour, paid directly to them on the day. Optional add-ons: porta-potty $100, privacy screen $20.
We depart from Tahoe Keys Marina at 2435 Venice Dr E, South Lake Tahoe. There's parking at the marina, and your captain meets you at the dock about 15 minutes before your departure time. The 2021 Bennington 23LSB holds 11 guests and the 2025 M Series holds 13.
Every charter includes paddle boards, life jackets, a propane grill and a Bluetooth speaker, plus your USCG-certified captain. You're welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Optional add-ons are a porta-potty for $100 and a privacy screen for $20.
Cancel 7 or more days before departure and you receive a 100% refund. Between 72 hours and 7 days, the full amount is issued as a Lake Tahoe Pontoons credit valid for 12 months from your original reservation date, transferable with our approval. Inside 72 hours the booking is non-refundable, though we'll always try to reschedule you. If we cancel for weather or safety, you receive a full refund.
